Transforming Legra Tap & Kitchen with Bespoke Booth Seating & Solid Oak Table Tops

Client: Legra Tap & Kitchen
Sector: Hospitality – Restaurant & Bar
Services: Design, manufacture and installation of bespoke booth seating and solid oak table tops

Legra Tap & Kitchen approached HCF Contract Furniture looking to refresh their dining area with furniture that matched their rustic, characterful interior and busy service style. They wanted a layout that felt warm, intimate and inviting, but still practical enough to cope with the everyday realities of a popular taproom and kitchen.

Our team designed, manufactured and installed a combination of bespoke restaurant booth seating in our beautiful Texas Horizontal Fluted Banquette Seating and solid oak table tops, creating a space that now feels more cohesive, comfortable and unmistakably “Legra”.

The result is a dining environment that not only looks fantastic, but also supports smoother service, better table utilisation and an elevated guest experience.

Project Overview: A Rustic, Welcoming Dining Space

The brief from Legra Tap & Kitchen was clear:

  • Introduce comfortable, high-quality booth seating that encourages guests to stay longer

  • Use natural materials that work with their rustic, industrial-inspired interior

  • Improve the flow and flexibility of the dining area without losing character

  • Invest in durable, easy-to-maintain furniture that will age well in a busy hospitality setting

By combining tailor-made booth seating with solid oak table tops, we were able to deliver a solution that feels both robust and refined – exactly what a modern taproom and kitchen needs.

Booth Seating: Comfort, Atmosphere & Efficient Use of Space

Booth seating is one of the most effective ways to add intimacy and structure to a restaurant layout. At Legra Tap & Kitchen, we designed the booths to:

  • Create cosy, semi-enclosed dining zones that feel private without isolating guests

  • Maximise seating capacity along the perimeter walls and key sections of the floor

  • Provide a comfortable sit for everything from a quick drink and small plates to a full meal

  • Subtly guide the flow of customers and staff through the space

The upholstered backrests and integrated seat bases give the restaurant a more refined, “finished” look compared to loose chairs alone. The booths frame the space, adding structure and rhythm while still allowing the rustic finishes, feature walls and lighting to stand out.

Designed Around the Legra Look & Feel

Rather than imposing a generic design, we worked closely with Legra Tap & Kitchen to ensure the booth seating:

  • Reflects their rustic, relaxed identity

  • Sits comfortably alongside existing finishes such as timber, metal and brick

  • Uses textures and tones that complement their lighting and branding

The result is booth seating that feels like it has always belonged there – not an afterthought.

Tailored Furniture for a Busy Hospitality Environment

Every hospitality project we undertake is designed with real-world use in mind. For Legra Tap & Kitchen, that meant paying close attention to:

Because all of our furniture is made-to-order in the UK, we were able to match sizes, finishes and details to the specific layout and operational needs of the venue.

A Partnership Built on Service & Communication

Beyond the visuals, this project also reflects our commitment to client-focused service. Throughout the process we worked closely with the team at Legra Tap & Kitchen to:

Following completion, we received this generous feedback:

"Many thanks for all your help. The team are really pleased with the furniture and can’t wait to hear the feedback from clients. On a personal note, it has been a real pleasure to deal with you and your team, it makes a change to find business with such a client focused attitude. I am sure we will cross paths again in the near future."
