HCF Contract Furniture has been manufacturing booth seating, banquettes and acoustic office pods since 1990, supplying projects across the UK for restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, schools, colleges and offices.
Our pod ranges are built to withstand high traffic, frequent meetings and hybrid working patterns while still looking smart for years to come.
Our acoustic office pods are designed to work hard in modern open-plan environments – creating quiet, private spaces without the cost and disruption of building fixed meeting rooms. From focus booths for one person through to larger four- and six-seater meeting pods, you can mix and match sizes to suit your team and floorplate.
By positioning pods near collaboration zones, circulation routes or reception areas, you can add much-needed privacy for calls, interviews and project work while keeping the overall space flexible and future-proof.

Every HCF acoustic pod range is made to order, with specifications that can be tailored to your project. Typical options include:
We work directly with business owners, office managers, interior designers and fit-out contractors, helping you choose pod sizes, layouts and finishes that deliver the best use of space and a strong return on investment.
All HCF acoustic pod units are engineered for demanding commercial environments. Frames are built from high-quality timber and board components, with robust acoustic panels and hardware designed to withstand years of daily use in hotel lobbies, open-plan offices, breakout areas, shopping centres and service stations.
Standard lead times are typically 3 – 4 weeks from order sign-off, depending on quantities and fabric choice.
We deliver across the UK and can provide an installation service on request, or coordinate with your fit-out contractor. If you have specific fire strategy or building control requirements, let us know and we’ll confirm the correct specification for your meeting pods.
Most of our customers are planning complete pod layouts rather than buying a single unit. We regularly work with interior designers, architects, office managers and fit-out contractors to turn sketches and floorplans into practical acoustic pod schemes.
Send us your layout for a tailored quotation and booth seating proposal.
Typical lead time is 3 – 4 weeks, depending on volume and materials. Large projects can be scheduled in phases. Express turnaround may be available on request.
Our acoustic office pods are designed to significantly reduce noise transfer, using acoustic panels, seals and glazing to contain sound. While no pod is completely soundproof, they provide a noticeable reduction in background noise and make conversations inside the pod much more private in busy open-plan areas.
Most of our pod ranges can be specified with integrated LED lighting, power sockets and USB charging as standard or as an upgrade. Many also include a quiet fan system to maintain airflow and comfort. We’ll confirm the exact specification for the pod model you choose and can advise on the best setup for your space.
Pods are typically delivered in three sections and assembled on site by our experienced installation team. This minimises disruption and allows us to bring pods into buildings with standard lifts and doorways. We coordinate installation with your main contractor or facilities team and can work out of hours where required.
In most cases, acoustic office pods are treated as furniture rather than a fixed structural alteration, so planning permission is not required. However, you must still ensure compliance with fire safety and building regulations within your building. We can provide specification details to your H&S or facilities team so they can sign off the installation.
Yes – one of the main benefits of acoustic pods is that they are relocatable. If you move floors, reconfigure your layout or relocate offices in the future, the pods can usually be disassembled, moved and re-installed by a competent team, making them a flexible long-term investment compared with fixed meeting rooms.
