Our “Other Bases & Benches” category covers specialist and ancillary base options that don’t fit neatly into the main ranges, along with supporting bench structures for larger table and seating runs. These solutions are often used in bespoke layouts, food halls, communal dining areas and custom projects.
They can be combined with our full range of Table Tops, Chairs & Stools and Booth Seating to create tailored furniture solutions for complex spaces.
As these items are usually project-specific, availability and specifications vary – please contact us to discuss your requirements and current lead times.

For education and workplace projects, stability, practicality and flexibility are key. Boxed steel and crucifix bases provide robust support in school and staff canteens; legged bases work well on larger sharing tables and workbenches; while flip-top bases allow tables to be nested and moved easily for multi-use spaces, training rooms and conference suites.
We can help you combine bases, Table Tops, Booth Seating and Outdoor Furniture to support the way your space actually operates day to day.
All of our table bases are specified for demanding commercial environments. Weight, footprint, column size and finish are carefully chosen to support contract-sized table tops and withstand years of heavy use.
Not sure which table base you need?
The right base depends on your table top size, shape, height and where the table will be used. Share your floorplan, table sizes and preferred top materials and we’ll recommend suitable base styles, finishes and quantities for your project.
We can advise on stability, clearances around seating and compatibility with our Table Tops, as well as options for outdoor use and fix-to-floor installations.
Send us your layout and we’ll come back with a no-obligation proposal and pricing.
The correct base depends on the size, shape and material of your table top, as well as the table height. Each product on our website will advise on which table top size the base will fit up to.
Larger and heavier tops generally require heavier or wider bases for stability. As a rule of thumb, the base footprint should comfortably support the full top without excessive overhang.
Send us your top dimensions and we’ll recommend suitable base options.
Dining height bases are typically around 720–730mm to suit standard dining chairs.
Poseur or bar height bases are higher – usually around 1050mm – and are designed to be used with bar stools.
Coffee height bases sit lower for lounge tables.
Many of our base styles are available in more than one height to help you maintain a consistent look across your venue.
Yes, selected bases in our range are suitable for outdoor or covered outdoor environments, particularly stainless steel and certain powder-coated models.
Others are recommended for indoor use only. We’ll confirm which bases are appropriate for your terrace or pavement area when we quote, and advise on best practice for care and maintenance.
Flip-top bases incorporate a locking mechanism that allows the table top to tilt vertically for storage, so tables can be nested and moved easily. When in use, the mechanism is locked in the horizontal position to provide a stable dining surface.
As with all bases, it’s important to match flip-top bases with appropriate top sizes and weights – we can advise on suitable combinations.
Fix-to-floor bases are ideal in high-traffic areas, along banquette seating, or in venues where you want to prevent tables from being moved or tipped.
They provide excellent stability and security, particularly for larger tops or where anti-theft and clear circulation routes are important. Your contractor or installer will typically handle the floor fixings in line with your building’s requirements.
Most of our bases are supplied with feet or glides designed to be floor-friendly.
For delicate timber or luxury vinyl floors, we recommend using additional felt pads or glides and regularly checking that no sharp edges or debris are trapped under the base.
We can advise on suitable glides for your floor type.
Many bases are supplied in component form (base plate, column, top plate) and will require simple assembly on site using the fixings provided.
Table tops are usually fixed to the top plate using appropriate screws.
We’ll supply assembly guidance and can coordinate with your fit-out contractor or installation team where required.
