Kansas High Back Plank Back Banquette Seating

The Kansas Classic Plank High Back Banquette Seating & Booth Seating adds height and presence to our laminate-backed booth seating, creating robust, easy-clean zones in demanding environments.

The taller timber or laminate plank back is ideal for school canteens, universities, staff restaurants and high-traffic family venues where durability and cleanability are paramount. At 1130mm high, it also provides visual separation and helps reduce distractions in busy spaces.

The upholstered seat maintains comfort, while the laminated back resists scuffs and can be quickly wiped down. Built as made-to-measure fixed seating in the UK, it can be configured as long canteen runs, bays or corner units to suit your plan.

Applications & Layout Ideas

Our laminate-backed booth seating combines durable upholstered seats with hardwearing plank or panelled backs. It’s a great option for cafés, casual restaurants and bar areas where you want the warmth and texture of timber without the maintenance of fully upholstered backs.

By combining straight runs, corners, back-to-back units and island booths, you can create layouts that maximise covers while still feeling comfortable and inviting.

Common applications include:

Booths can be arranged in many different ways to suit your floor plan:

If you’re unsure which configuration will work best, send us a sketch or drawing. We’ll suggest a combination of straight runs, corner booths and round booth seating to make the most of your space.

Built for Intensive Commercial Use

All HCF booth seating is engineered for demanding trade environments. Frames are built from quality timber and board materials, designed to withstand years of daily use in restaurants, cafés, bars and canteens.

Typical specifications include:

Standard lead times are typically 3 – 4 weeks from order sign-off, depending on quantities and fabric choice.

We deliver across the UK and can provide an installation service on request, or coordinate with your fit-out contractor. If you have specific fire strategy or building control requirements, let us know and we’ll confirm the correct specification for your commercial banquette seating.

Design Support For Your Booth Seating Project

Most of our customers are planning complete layouts rather than buying a single unit. We regularly work with interior designers, architects and fit-out contractors to turn sketches into practical booth seating schemes.

Booth Seating – Frequently Asked Questions

Lead Times

Typical lead time is 3 – 4 weeks, depending on volume and materials. Large projects can be scheduled in phases. Express turnaround may be available on request.

What laminate finishes can you supply on the booth backs?

We offer a core range of popular woodgrain laminates on our plank and panel-backed booths, including light oaks, mid-tone woods and darker finishes. If you’re working to a specific scheme, we can usually source alternative laminates from leading manufacturers to coordinate with your design – just let us know the look you’re aiming for.

Can you match the booth laminates to our table tops or bar front?

In many cases we can match, or get very close to, the laminate used on your table tops or bar front. There may be slight differences in grain or tone between manufacturers, but we’re happy to provide samples so you can check everything together before ordering and choose the best combination for your interior.

Can you make the booth seating to fit my exact space?

Yes. All of our booth and banquette seating is made to measure. You can specify exact lengths, back heights, corner details and plinth styles. If you send a simple drawing or dimensioned plan, we’ll work out a layout of restaurant booth seating that makes best use of your space.

What back heights are available for your booth seating?

We offer standard back heights as well as high back booth seating for added privacy and acoustic comfort. Back heights can usually be adjusted to suit your design or to align with existing features such as windowsills and wall panelling.

Do you provide installation, or is the seating supplied loose?

Our booth seating is delivered fully assembled, each unit can be carried into the building and positioned on site. At order stage we’ll ask whether you’d like unit connectors fitted; these provide extra security by locking adjoining units together, and simply slot into place when the booths are pushed together. Clear fitting instructions are provided.

If you prefer, we can also offer a complete supply-and-install service, bringing the seating into position, fixing it in place where required and removing any leftover packaging from site.

Can you add power sockets, USB or storage under the seats?

On all models we can incorporate features such as under-seat storage, access panels, or built-in power and USB modules. Let us know at enquiry stage if you require these options so we can design your commercial banquette seating accordingly.
